Our Process

We have learned how to optimize professional development for effectiveness and giving our clients a meaningful, rich experience.  While we craft a plan individually for each client, we have developed an overall process that provides for optimal success. Individual steps of the process are available as stand-alone services.

Step 1:  Meet and Greet

Someone from our team will meet with you in person, on the phone, or via Zoom to hear your concerns, needs and goals for professional development.  At that time, we will brainstorm ideas and possibilities for meeting your needs.

Step 2:  Proposal

We will send you a proposal that outlines the services and timeline we recommend based on our step 1 conversation.

Step 3: Conversation

At this step, we discuss the proposal and make any tweaks needed.

Our Administrators Workshops overview the best practices we will be teaching to teachers and staff, establish collaborative practices amongst our coaches and building/district administrators, and provide a concrete guide for supporting teachers to implement what they are learning.  

Step 5:  School Planning Process - CLICK HERE FOR PLANNING SERVICES

This step is essential when you are looking to generate systems change. We facilitate your administrative body to create a shared vision, develop a time-line, and establishing concrete action steps and accountability.  On-going follow-up and monitoring assists you in executing, assessing and refining your plan.

Our dynamic, hands-on workshops provide concrete, practical strategies.  During each workshop, our coaches model the strategies being taught.  Each workshop is fun, interactive and engaging, with differentiated approaches to learning. Participants plan how they will apply the strategies they learned to their classroom, content area and/or team. Topics include Inclusive Education, Co-Teaching, Differentiated Instruction, Explicit Instruction, Individualizations and Modifications, and Community Building

One of our coaches works with teachers to implement the strategies learned in the workshop they attended.  Coaching involves classroom visits and follow-up meetings.  

Step 8: Next Step Evaluation

We elicit your feedback regarding progress toward your PD goals and provide feedback about what our coaches are experiencing with your teachers.  We develop the next steps which may involve

  • Additional administrator workshops and/or school planning facilitation

  • Next level workshops for teachers on any of the topics 

  • Continued coaching

  • Study groups

Step 9:  Individual Student Work

If there are individual students that teachers are struggling with, we will discuss whether coaching is providing enough support, or deeper work is needed through Individual Student Study and/or Person Centered Planning.
